About WSCG

WSCG began in 2009 and has been holding at Amirkabir University of Technology every winter since then. The first winter school on computational geometry was held on February 18-22,2009, at Amirkabir University of Technology and it was established at the Faculty of Mathematics and Computer Science. The school is organized by the memebers of Algorithm and Computational Geometry laboratory and all the researchers aiming to learn more about computational geometry are invited to participate.

The goals of this School are :

  • To provide an opportunity for young researchers from developing countries to make a new research area and effective concepts.
  • To cause audience to become familiar with computational geometry techniques and algorithms to some extent.
  • 11th WSCG

The 11th international Winter School on Computational Geometry (WSCG) will be held on February 20-25, 2019, at Amirkabir University of Technology, Tehran, Iran. WSCG is an annual event which brings together both researchers and students from all over world to focus on advanced topics in computational geometry and related fields presented by invited speakers. WSCG provides a friendly atmosphere to work on computational geometry problems, present and discuss the results and establish scientific collaborations.
Moreover, a three-day seminar on primary concepts of Computational Geometry, which intends to help participants initiate their research in computational geometry, will be held prior to WSCG. The seminar as a crash course tries to fully prepare participants to benefit greatly from WSCG talks on advanced topics.
